SHIPPING & RETURNS

Shipping Policy

I aim to ship most items within 48 hours of payment received. Sometimes shipping can be delayed due to weather, industrial action, or during busy times. You will receive an email confirmation as soon as your item/s is/are shipped along with any tracking info that relates to your items. If you have any questions you can always send me a message and I will be happy to help.

I predominantly use Royal Mail or DHL depending on the weight of the order and where it is headed. You can have your order sent almost anywhere worldwide. However, if you are having your items shipped outside the UK, I am unable to ship to Germany, Russia, and Belarus. International customers should be aware that Thistle and Bard is not registered with IOSS. This means that you may have to pay customs taxes. In some cases, your order may be held until any duties have been paid. There is nothing that I can do about this.

NOTE: Some of the items in the shop are made-to-order. This helps me cut down on warehouse space and support local manufacturers where possible. If you order a made-to-order product (or a pre-order) alongside other items, your order will be held until all the items are ready to ship. If you require your order by a deadline, please order as much in advance as you can. I cannot guarantee that an order will turn up by a certain date but I will do everything I can to get your items to you as quickly as possible.

Return & Exchange Policy

Because my items are lovingly handmade in small batches, I do not accept returns or refunds with the exception of faulty items. This includes when the order is processed and the wrong address is given or if the wrong colour or size of an item is selected. Please help me to help you by checking your order and address before submitting it for payment.

Please be aware that all my products are used at the recipient's risk and I am not responsible for any misuse or damage caused by failing to read any product directions or due diligence.

If you suspect that you have a faulty item, I am more than happy to help. Please get in contact using the contact us page and let me know what the problem is. I do check every order but I am only human and it's entirely possible that every so often something might slip past me. I may ask you to supply photos of the fault so that I can forward it to the manufacturer and check it against any of the stock I have. If I require the item to be returned, I will provide you with postage to do so as well as explain what options are available to help rectify the problem.

As my items are handmade, small imperfections are perfectly normal and part of the production process.
