What is a Wonderkin?
Wonderkin is a term we like to gift to all our fantastic customers! It belongs to the people who live, love, and breathe all things magical, looking for ways to turn their every day ordinary into something extraordinary! They are the Dreamers, the Storytellers, and the Adventurers. They don't own pets—they have familiars—and they certainly don't drink coffee—that's an energy potion with a 2-hour buff cooldown! Moreover, they believe that a few small acts can save the world.

They are exactly who we built Thistle and Bard for and Project Wonderkin celebrates not only the five years Thistle and Bard have made unique fantasy and fairytale gifts, stationery, and clothing; but also all the people who brought us to this new and exciting chapter - The time has come to raise the banners and embark on the next quest!
The Quest Begins...
Did you know that less than 5% of small businesses make it to 5 years? Actually, 90% of them don't make it past year 1!

This is why our anniversary celebrating 5 glorious years is such a big milestone. When Thistle and Bard opened its own website we knew very little about web design, SEO, domains, etc. This is why we are starting our campaign tracker with a brand-new website themed completely around our love of fantasy worlds and including lots of interactive elements to provide customers with the best experience when purchasing gifts, stationery, and clothing from our exclusive ranges!

We know that you are going to want to see what this might look like, so we've jumped into the future and already made a temporary mock-up of the landing/home page for you to see for yourself:

As you can see, our campaign looks very similar to other crowdfunding campaigns and if it seems familiar, then that's probably because it uses the same system we used to fund the massively successful 'Baby Dragon Project' in 2023!

We've measured our 'stretch goals' based on an average order value of £30 not including shipping. But, EVERY order (big and small) can have an impact. Each time we ascend to the next chest, we'll reveal more images of the loot we are working towards AND if we exceed the value we are hoping to raise to support this exciting range, we have a vault of mystery items that we'll also be producing!
